Description
we leave Arequipa at 07.00 a.m. and will travel
with private transportation to an altitude of
5.000 m.a.s.l. Here we will have a short security
briefing about the technical details of the
mountainbikes, the scurity measures and the
route that we will take.
During the first part we will go downhill in
a zigzag line, going down for about 1.000 metres
in altitude, with a length of 10 km and some
steep slopes. People without a lot of experience
will travel with a speed of 10-15 km per hour.
At the second part of the ride we will ride
for about 16 km and slowly we will go up to
4.200 m.a.s.l., mainly on solid ground and some
sandy parts.
The third part of the tour, and also the biggest
part, will take us downhill with a difference
in altitude of 2.000 metres, on roads of asphalt
and speeds up to 45 km per hour. In 2 hours
we will arrive in Arequipa, where we will finish
our tour at el Mirador de Carmen Alto and we
