SPECTACULAR FOREST
4 DAYS /3 NIGHTS

DAY 1: PUERTO MALDONADO /LODGE / SANDOVAL LAKE

Arrive to Puerto Maldonado, CAPITAL OF BIODIVERSITY in Peru. We will pick you up from the airport and transport you to the city. Then we will go to the port and take our boat that will take us down the Madre de Dios River. It will take a little more than one hour to arrive at the Mejía Lodge (basic accomodation) located close to Sandoval Lake. We will arrive and you will be placed in bungalows according to your reservation. We will walk through the jungle with a guide which will take a little more than two hours. We will see a great diversity of flora and fauna. In the night it is possible to see caimans. We will return to the lodge, have dinner and lodging.

DAY 2: SANDOVAL LAKE

After breakfast, we will take a boat tour of the Sandoval Lake, where you can see the great diversity of flora. You will see orchids, platanillos (heliconias), ungurahuis (wild palm), aguaje palm. You will see a great quantity of otter, ducks, black and white caimans, wild hens, taricayas (small turtles) and a variety of fish. It is possible to take a refreshing bath in the lake without danger. We will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we will visit another part of the Sandoval Lake. We will return to the lodge.
In the night it is possible to see caimans and the great diversity of wild life around the Sandoval Lake. We will eat dinner and lodging.

DAY 3: MONKEYS ISLAND / CANOPY WAL

KWAYSoon after breakfast, we will travel down the river Madre de Dios until the Island of the Monkeys to be able to see several species of monkeys that inhabit the island. After we will continue our trip for one hour and a half until we reach the Taricaya Project where we will cross a Canopy Walkway. The bridge starts 10m up, and goes up to 48 m. The bridge is 100m long. From here we will see a great diversity of birds, and see the flora of the canopy. After the lunch we will take a stroll through the site and we will return to Puerto Maldonado. We will stay in the Cabaña Quinta Hotel *** and having dinner in typical restaurant

DAY 4: PUERTO MALDONADO / AIRPORT

Breakfast and transport from the hotel to the airport.
